"Karelia, routes 1 and 2" – is a planned trip from St. Petersburg to Petrozavodsk along the western and northern coasts of the Lake Ladoga. This is a joint itinerary composed of two of our smaller trips: “Karelia, route 1” and “Karelia, route 2”, and it’s intended for 2 weeks. You will visit ancient churches and scenic waterfalls, abandoned historic objects, Ladoga skerries national park, you will spend a night in a house on the water and will see a paleovolcano which is billions years old. Besides you will make cruises to two of the most famous Karelian islands – Kizhi and Valaam. You will find all the necessary information about the route in the guide.
